Capped at $500,000 per investor per qualified business per year.

The emerging technology business must have fewer than 225 employees (at least 75% in New Jersey), do business in New Jersey, and conduct qualified research or commercialise technology in an advanced computing, advanced materials, biotechnology, electronic device, information technology, life sciences, medical device, mobile communications or renewable energy field.
How to apply
- The investor makes a qualified investment in a New Jersey emerging technology business
- The investor submits the application to NJEDA within six months of the investment
- NJEDA reviews and issues the tax credit certificate
