Three modes. Loan: soft loan at 5% simple interest per annum, covering 50% of the un-incurred project cost. Equity: up to 25% of the approved project cost, provided such investment does not exceed the capital paid up by the promoters. Grant: only in exceptional cases of national interest. TDB does not publish a fixed per-project ceiling; the amount follows the approved project cost.

You must co-fund 50%.

Open to Indian industrial concerns and other agencies attempting development and commercial application of indigenous technology, or adapting imported technology to wider domestic applications. Not limited to startups. DPIIT recognition is not stated as a prerequisite for TDB core funding.
