階段性補助。先期研究（Phase 1）補助上限新臺幣100萬元、期程6個月；研究開發（Phase 2）補助上限1,000萬元、期程2年；加值應用（Phase 2+）上限500萬元。補助款不超過計畫總經費的50%（部分類別為40%）。

依中小企業認定標準認定之我國中小企業（實收資本額新臺幣1億元以下，或經常僱用員工數未滿200人），且無不良債信紀錄。

- 至SBIR官方網站確認當年度梯次與截止日。
- 線上註冊並填寫計畫書（含技術、市場、經費規劃）。
- 書面審查。
- 計畫簡報審查（會前審查與審查會議）。
- 核定後簽約，依查核點撥款並提出期中、期末報告。
