Up to INR 7 lakh (up to INR 12 lakh for the Women Productisation Grant where women hold the major share) to convert an MVP into a market-ready product. Startups that already availed the Idea Grant can claim only the remaining INR 4 lakh. Margin money of 20% of the approved grant applies at the second tranche.

Who can apply
- Stage: pre-seed
- Locally registered entity required
Startup must be in the product development stage and own an innovative technology product; Pvt Ltd / LLP / OPC with active MCA status; KSUM Unique ID mandatory at application. Not allowed: founder salaries, fixed assets (land, building, high-end equipment, software above INR 2 lakh), rent.
How to apply
- Apply through the KSUM website during the official call for applications (grants.startupmission.in). — link
- Application is scrutinised by KSUM officials; shortlisted applicants are notified by email.
- Shortlisted startups present their idea and fund utilisation plan before the Expert Committee, evaluated on Team, Product Innovation, Marketing, Financials and Grant Utilisation Plan.
- Approval by the CEO/Chairman of KSUM, then document submission and agreement with KSUM.
- Grant is disbursed in milestone-based tranches (generally 50% first tranche, balance after progress review and utilisation certificate).
