Four company RFAs (Therapeutics, Device and Diagnostics, New Technologies, Seed). Seed Company Awards are capped at $3 million per project; for the other RFAs applicants may request any amount appropriate to the work. CPRIT has about $70 million per fiscal year for product development awards. Projects run three years. CPRIT requires matching funds from the company and revenue sharing (royalties, equity or similar). Companies outside Texas may apply but must commit to locate and stay in Texas.

  1. Submit a preliminary application: 2-page executive summary, slide deck of up to 16 slides, and a 1-page aims and budget. — link
  2. The Product Development Review Council decides within 3 to 5 weeks whether to invite a full application.
  3. Present the full proposal to the review panel by video call.
