Job thresholds vary by track: 50 new qualified jobs standard, 25 for the rural track (counties with population 90,000 or less), 25 for the innovation track in designated innovation industries, and flexible counts for the micro track in strategic focus industries or geographically disadvantaged areas. A qualified job requires 35 hours or more per week and must exceed the business's prior baseline.

- Submit the completed application and receive a term sheet
- Michigan Strategic Fund board approval, then execute the legal agreement
- Complete performance milestones and report for disbursement
