Deadline: Fixed cut-off dates — FY27 MI-STEP applications are accepted October 15 through September 15, pending funding availability; from October 15, 2026 applications must be submitted at least 10 business days before the activity start date.

Who can apply
- small enterprises
- Stage: seed and growth
- Locally registered entity required
SBA-size-standard small business organised and operating in the US, in business at least one year, export-ready with at least 51% US content, minimum gross annual revenue of $100,000, EIN linked to a Michigan address, and good standing with the Michigan Department of Treasury. Travel reimbursement limited to two employees who are US citizens.

- Claim reimbursement with proof of payment after the activity.
