EPIC invests more than $130 million annually in clean energy research, development and demonstration funded by utility ratepayers. Awards are made through competitive solicitations; a minimum of 25% of technology demonstration and deployment investments must benefit disadvantaged communities and a further 10% low-income communities. CalSEED provides small grants to entrepreneurs.
