With effect from 1 April 2024 EnterpriseSG supports all successful startup grant recipients on a 1:1 support ratio, for a grant amount from S$20,000 to S$50,000. Applicants must inject co-matching paid-up capital into the startup at a 1:1 ratio to the grant quantum. Co-matching capital may originate from an AMP's or third party's investment (e.g. convertible / SAFE notes) in lieu of paid-up capital, but at least 50% of the co-matching capital must be paid-up capital on ACRA Bizfile when the application is submitted to EnterpriseSG.

Who can apply

Open to Singapore Citizens / Permanent Residents. The first applicant must be a first-time founder with no prior Private Limited entity with ACRA, must not be externally employed, must commit full time, and must have undergone entrepreneurship training; a second applicant need not be a first-time founder and may be externally employed. First-time founders must hold a minimum of 30% equity collectively and both applicants must hold equity. The startup must have at least 51% of issued shares owned by SC/PR, be registered as a private limited entity in Singapore for less than 6 months at the point of application to the AMP, keep key HQ activities mainly in Singapore, and must not have received funding from another government organisation for the same idea. Excluded ideas: cafes, restaurants, night clubs, lounges, bars, foot reflexology, massage parlours, gambling, prostitution, social escort services, employment agencies and geomancy.

How to apply

  1. Complete recognised entrepreneurship training and prepare the business idea. — link
  2. Apply to an Accredited Mentor Partner within 6 months of incorporating the private limited entity (or before incorporating). — link
  3. Obtain a Letter of Recommendation from the AMP and submit the application to EnterpriseSG. — link
  4. Inject the 1:1 co-matching capital and receive the grant; second tranche disbursed on a separate form. — link
