New Zealand businesses beginning a structured R&D programme, historically with limited prior R&D expenditure. Confirm current criteria with MBIE.
How to apply
- Contact MBIE or the Regional Business Partner Network to confirm the current application route.
- Prepare an R&D plan showing the intent to build an ongoing R&D capability.
- Submit the application with budget and evidence of co-funding capacity.
- Assessment and, if approved, a funding agreement with claims made in arrears.
