National Entrepreneur Fund
Fondo Nacional Emprendedor
Closed for now
Permanently discontinued as a federal grant vehicle, but retained here because it remains the reference point Mexican founders search for. Federal support has shifted to credit through Nacional Financiera (NAFIN), the Programa de Microcréditos para el Bienestar and state-level and municipal programmes (for example Fondeso in Mexico City), rather than a national startup grant fund. As of August 2026 no successor national startup grant fund has been created.
Historically Mexico's main SME and startup grant vehicle, co-financing projects across incubation, acceleration, technology adoption and scaling, with award sizes set per convocatoria.
Instituto Nacional del Emprendedor (INADEM), Secretaría de Economía, Mexico

Deadline: closed — INADEM was abolished and the Fondo Nacional Emprendedor discontinued from the 2019 federal budget. No further convocatorias have been issued.
