디딤돌 과제는 최대 1억 2천만 원(1년), 전략형 과제는 최대 6억 원(2년) 규모의 R&D 자금을 지원. 정부출연금 비율은 과제 유형에 따라 총사업비의 80% 내외.

창업 7년 이내이고 직전연도 매출액이 일정 규모(통상 20억 원) 미만인 중소기업. 기업부설연구소 또는 연구개발전담부서 보유가 요구되는 과제가 있다.
How to apply
- SMTECH 시스템에 기업 회원으로 가입한다.
- 공고된 과제 유형(디딤돌·전략형 등)을 선택한다.
- 연구개발계획서를 작성하여 온라인 제출한다.
- 사전검토, 대면평가(발표), 현장조사.
- 협약 체결 후 연구개발 수행 및 단계·최종 평가.
