'To work with NRC IRAP, your business must: be incorporated, for-profit, and operating in Canada' and employ up to 500 full-time-equivalent people. Unlimited/limited liability corporations (ULCs, LLCs), sole proprietorships, partnerships and cooperatives are not supported. Day-to-day operating costs, non-technical activities and work outside Canada are not funded.

- An Industrial Technology Advisor may assess innovation potential and business readiness and, if appropriate, invite a proposal. 'Working with an advisor or being invited to submit a proposal does not guarantee funding.'
