Each node runs its own annual cohort call, typically opening in the summer or autumn with a two-year fellowship start the following year.
Fellows receive a stipend (historically around $100,000-$150,000 a year), plus fully funded access to national laboratory facilities, staff scientists and a mentor network for up to two years. Delivered through Cyclotron Road (Berkeley Lab), Chain Reaction Innovations (Argonne), Innovation Crossroads (Oak Ridge), West Gate (NREL) and Lab Embedded programmes at PNNL.
