Not reinstated. Conahcyt's current instruments emphasise national strategic projects (Pronaces / Pronaii) and public research rather than direct company R&D subsidies. Mexican companies seeking R&D co-funding now generally rely on state programmes, development banking (NAFIN, Bancomext) and private capital. Kept here because founders still search for the PEI.
Permanently discontinued as a federal grant vehicle, but retained here because it remains the reference point Mexican founders search for. Federal support has shifted to credit through Nacional Financiera (NAFIN), the Programa de Microcréditos para el Bienestar and state-level and municipal programmes (for example Fondeso in Mexico City), rather than a national startup grant fund. As of August 2026 no successor national startup grant fund has been created.
