Who can apply

For NEW units only; existing units and units already availing a government subsidy are ineligible. Applicants must be at least 18 years old; a minimum Class VIII pass is required for manufacturing projects above INR 10 lakh and service projects above INR 5 lakh. Own contribution of 10% (5% for special categories) required. DPIIT recognition is not required.

How to apply

  1. Register and file the online application on the PMEGP e-portal.
  2. District Level Task Force Committee interview and sponsorship to a bank.
  3. Bank sanctions and disburses the loan; margin money subsidy is held in a Term Deposit Receipt for three years.
  4. Complete EDP training; the subsidy is adjusted after the lock-in period.
