Credits are redeemable only against AWS usage under the AWS Promotional Credit Terms and expire; AWS does not publish a single guaranteed amount, the award is discretionary. amount_max reflects the published Portfolio ceiling.

Who can apply

AWS states applicants must have a company founded within the last 10 years, be pre-Series B, hold an AWS account on a paid tier plan, and be either new to Activate or requesting more credits than previously received. Portfolio tier additionally requires affiliation with an AWS Activate Provider.

How to apply

  1. Create an AWS account on a paid support tier. — link
  2. For the Portfolio tier, obtain an Organization ID from your accelerator, angel investor or VC (an AWS Activate Provider).
  3. Complete the AWS Activate application with company, funding-stage and AWS account details. — link
  4. AWS reviews and, if approved, applies promotional credits to the AWS account.
