CRC-P has historically run one or more competitive rounds per year, though the timing has become irregular. Check business.gov.au and GrantConnect for the next round; the broader CRC Program (long-term centres) also runs separate annual selection rounds.
Grants of A$100,000 to A$3 million over up to three years for short-term industry-led collaborative research. Funding covers up to 50% of eligible project costs and the project must include at least two Australian industry entities (one of which is an SME) and at least one Australian research organisation.
You must co-fund 50%.

The lead applicant must be an Australian entity with an ABN, incorporated and trading in Australia. Projects must be industry-led and collaborative, and must not have already commenced.
How to apply
- Assemble the consortium: at least two Australian industry entities including one SME, and at least one Australian research organisation.
- Agree the collaboration terms, IP arrangements and cash and in-kind contributions.
- Submit the application via the business.gov.au portal during an open round.
- Merit assessment by an independent committee.
- If successful, execute the grant agreement and the consortium agreement before project start.
